JuNoWriMo Begins!

Well, the first day of JuNoWriMo is here and as always, I'm off to a great start. But as we all know, I usually start strong in the beginning, but in the middle, I tend to crash and burn towards the middle of the month. By the time the month ends, I am completely burned out and tend to abandon the story.

(You already know of my history of abandoning various writing projects, so that shouldn't surprise you.)

But this time, I'm doing this thing blindfolded. That means no planning, no outlining, and certainly no guessing the ending of the story. I'm going to finish this project if it kills me. (Or maybe not, as I tend to rush through things just to get to the end. I need to stop now or else it'll kill my creativity for good.)

OK, I'm going to wrap this up and get to work. This story isn't going to write itself!

Preparing for JuNoWriMo

OK, since June is right around the corner, I figure that I would write a blog post outline what I want to write for JuNoWriMo. In case you don't know what it is, JuNoWriMo is like NaNoWriMo, except this event takes place in June.

And the story is: Do You Remember?

What's it about? In 2012, the diary of a young boy is uncovered, revealing the truth behind a decade old high school shooting.

Well, it's going to be written in diary form. Sure I could write it as a regular YA tale, but since a diary has been found at the scene where the high school shooting took place, it's in diary form. (Plus, I need to recover from the epic NaNoWriMo bomb of 2015. Don't ask me about it; it's only going to hurt me.)
